It’s no secret that kozēkozē makes perinatal personal care products to reduce mess and stress for moms so they can better bond with baby.
I actually never thought I'd be the face of a company—and that my day-to-day would involve talking about my breastmilk leakage on Instagram, sharing about my cervical mucus on TikTok (due to my infertility journey), or detailing the likes of my raw, bleeding nipples to my family dinner table when sharing about our healing and hydrating nipple balm, Nip Gloss.
You could say my life as a founder is all about wading through these uncomfortable waters of the perinatal journey. Whether you're peeing on your hand whilst TTC (which is why we invented the kozēpee) or you're staining your bras with nipple balm, we "get it" and we've been there.
I love the Blood, Sweat, and Fears campaign because I want to assure women that they're not alone.
It wasn’t until I began working in this space that I realized the blood, sweat, and fears we all experience are sort of like rites of passage. We're all experiencing these things, googling them, and messaging our doctors and friends about them… why not share it with each other?
We're not alone. Together, we got this!
To keep the mood light, one of my more comical experiences with blood, sweat, and fears was wearing a white crop top with light blue designs to a park birthday party 15 days postpartum. I thought the crop top made for easy access to breastfeed. What I didn’t realize was that my breast pad would fall out in public, and a nice man would pick it up for me, clueless to what milk-sopped item he was holding.
Following that embarrassment, I'd be paranoid that my bleeding nipples were going to leak through my bra and lightweight white crop top...
Oh, the joys of being a postpartum woman!
But it’s all normal—inconvenient at times, but normal.
At kozēkozē, we are on a mission to bring comfort to moms—and knowing the blood, sweat, and fears of other women who have moved through the perinatal journey brings the most comfort to know that I’m not the only one. I am not alone.
Share your blood, sweat, and fears from your own perinatal experience HERE and we’ll share on our social media channels anonymously so that you can get it off of your chest, other women can see that they are not alone—and so can you!
